St. Patrick’s Day Art Mason Jar Beer Stein

Your St. Patrick’s Day party planning is almost done. You’ve chosen the decorations, picked out party favors, and decided on the menu. Now for the most important question, What are your guests going to drink? You may be thinking that the standard selection of sodas and mixed drinks will be fine. And for an ordinary party that would be true. But this is St. Patrick’s Day and the color of the occasion is green, green, green! Your guests will be expecting a special treat, so make sure that you don’t disappoint them. Serve any of the party punch recipes shown below, and it is sure to be a hit.
Note: For non-alcoholic versions of these punches, leave out the alcohol and substitute ginger ale.
Classic St. Patrick’s Day Punch
Serves: 50
Serving Size: 4 oz
Preparation Time: 15 min
Ingredients
- 2 2 liter bottles lemon-lime flavor soda
- 2 12 oz. cans frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
- 2 12 oz. cans frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
- 2 quarts lime sherbet, thawed
- 1 750ml bottle of rum
Directions
- Pour all ingredients into a large pot and mix until thoroughly blended.
- Fill punch bowl approximately 1/3 full with crushed ice.
- Add blended punch and serve.
St. Patrick’s Day Pot-o-Gold Rainbow Punch
Serves: 50
Serving Size: 4 oz
Preparation Time: 4 hours, 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 3 2 liter bottles of 7-Up
- 2 12oz. cans frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
- 2 quarts Rainbow sherbet (thaw 1 quart)
- 1 750 ml bottle Irish Whiskey
- 8 oz. Crème de Menthe
Directions
Floating Rainbows
- Using a large, serrated knife, cut frozen rainbow sherbet into 4 slabs about 1 1/2″ thick (slicing through carton and all).
- Cut each slab into 2 half-moon pieces.
- Using a round cookie cutter or beverage glass, press out the center of each half-moon piece, leaving rainbow shapes.
- Remove the carton from rainbow pieces and wrap them in clear wrap.
Place in freezer until frozen solid (at least 4 hours). - Save leftover sherbet to mix into the punch.
Punch
- Put all ingredients (except frozen rainbow pieces) and approximately 1 tray of ice cubes, into a large pot and mix until well blended.
- Ice cubes should melt during mixing, or shortly there after.
- Pour blended mix into your punch bowl.
- Just before guests arrive, add 1 or 2 frozen sherbet rainbows to float in punch.
- Add remaining rainbows as night goes on.
St. Patrick’s Day Green Leprechaun Punch
Serves: 30
Serving Size: 6 oz
Ingredients
- 1 quart hot water
- 5 C cold water
- 2 2 liter bottles chilled ginger ale
- 60 oz. pineapple juice
- 2 12 oz. cans frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
- 3 3 oz. packages lime gelatin mix
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
Directions
- Mix lime Jello with hot water, stirring until completely dissolved.
- Set aside to cool.
- Once cool, add cold water, orange juice concentrate, and sugar, making sure ingredients mix completely.
- Refrigerate until time for the party.
- 5 minutes before party, pour the refrigerated gelatin mixture into the punch bowl, and then stir in the ginger ale and pineapple juice.
- Add crushed ice or shamrock ice blocks before serving.
