Warm and positive communication without underestimating your teen is the key to successful relationship between the two of you. Regard your teen as the maturing person they are, and try to understand their opinion whenever you discuss something. This shows that you pay attention and consider him or her important. It won’t happen all at once, but with mutual understanding, you can enjoy your time being a parent of a teenager.
